Nobody By Creston Mapes

I received this e-book from Litfuse Publicity Group for no charge in exchange for my honest review of this e-book.  The opinions written here are my own.

Book Description:

They said, "He's a nobody."
They were dead wrong.

When reporter Hudson Ambrose hears an early morning call on his police scanner about an injured person at a bus stop on Las Vegas Boulevard, he rushes to the scene to get the scoop.

His world is blown off its axis when he discovers a murdered homeless man with a bankbook in his pocket showing a balance of almost one million dollars. Should he wait for the police, knowing the case will get lost in reams of red tape, or swipe the bankbook and take the investigation--and perhaps a chunk of the money--into his own hands?

With sirens bearing down on the scene, Hudson makes an impulse decision that whisks him on a frantic search for answers, not only about the mysterious man in the black Converse high-tops, but about the lost soul lurking within himself.

My Thoughts:

Nobody by Creston Mapes is his third novel, but not part of The Rock Star Chronicles. Nobody is a stand alone story where Creston Mapes takes his readers into the not-so-glamorous lives of the Las Vegas homeless community.  Creston Mapes writes with authority about Las Vegas, the homeless, and those who minister to them.  This story shows that EVERYbody is somebody and they have a story, that with one wrong choice, anyone can be homeless.  The characters are well rounded and likable. The story is written from first person view of the different characters, which really gives it a unique feel.  From page one the action starts and it continues all the way to the end. Creston Mapes does an awesome job of drawing in the reader and keeping their attention until the end.  I couldn't put this book down.  I am completely into Creston Mapes writing style and content.  I am thankful for the chance to read another novel by Creston Mapes and look forward to more.
